Home Sweet Home

Yay! We are home!!! Last Friday we moved home in the pouring rain. There were still painters and other workmen all over the house, but in we came. Oksana arrived at 7 am with some help and got the upstairs cleaned enough so that we could sleep there, but the downstairs was still a mess. We spent Saturday continuing to clean, and then Sunday we unpacked the storage pod from the driveway. I have been cleaning, unpacking and trying to put the house back together ever since. The contractor still is working on punch list things, but we are getting close to done! The girls have settled in great -- here they are "doing the dishes" in our new kitchen!

And enjoying watermelon on the porch -- we have really been happen to be home for spring. The garden looks beautiful. As soon as I get all the boxes put away, and the rooms are together, I'll try and post some "after" pictures.
