Yesterday we hosted our annual Christmas parade party for our playgroup and the girls' classes from school. Its a nice way to get to meet their friends and to keep up with our playgroup friends from church. Santa and Mrs. Claus always make an appearance and we hire a photographer to take pictures so the parents can relax (a little). The parade itself this year seemed longer than usual - but the weather was gorgeous - mid 60s - so no one seemed to mind. The night before the party we had to finish getting the house decorated for Christmas -- mainly decorating the tree! Since I refuse to put up any Christmas decorations until after Thanksgiving - and the parade (and hence our party) is always the first weekend in December -- it is always a mad, but very fun, rush to get the place decked out. Roger has been travelling even more than usual so he wasn't able to work on the tree - but the girls had fun putting on their special ornaments and we saved some of our most special ones until he got home later that night. Now that the girls are taller - and more reliable - they were able to put up more of the ornaments - and higher up on the tree!
Here is Bo keeping a look out for Roger who was due home soon!
Bo chewing on his Santa toy - he eventually got his hat completely off.
Here is a picture of most of the kids from the party - along with the guests of honor!
Here is (the back of) Erin with two friends from Kindergarten.
And Mary Clare sporting her new favorite hairstyle - a side braid.
I love this poodle in the parade!
Here are some of the girls from BGA waving at a classmate on a float.
