The work continues . . .

There is dust in very possible crevice of our house. However, things are progressing. In the first picture you can see the newly exposed brick chimney in our kitchen.
Since I took this photo a few days ago, we've actuallly broken through to the other side to create a see-through fireplace into the dining room. You can just see it in the corner of this photo.

We ended up having to remove the kitchen floor completely -- the oak, the old linoleum, the original fir (we thought it was pine at first), and then the subfloor. Now we have new joists, plywood, and are going to install oak to match our dining room starting on Monday. The electricians have roughed in the lighting in the kitchen and everything is down to bare studs.

This photo shows the exterior wall in our new master bathroom. You can see that the planks that the outside of the house was sheathed in were 14 inches wide! You can't even buy wood that big any more -- and it's more than an inch thick. The bathroom is framed in (the shower, vanity, etc).
We also replaced the joists in Mary Clare's room -- here is her pretty new hardwood floor!
We took the girls to the house today - along with Dylan. I think they all enjoyed playing in the yard. Mary Clare is enjoying her bunkbed at our apartment so much that she told us last night that she doesn't want to move home!
