Sweet Boy

Not too much news from here, except that Dylan has been having a bit of a rough time lately. He is scheduled for a total hip replacement at the University of Tennessee's vet school the week after Easter. We are hopeful that it will help restore some of his mobility. Since Thanksgiving it seems like things have been really rough on him, and lately he is having more and more trouble -- he sometimes needs help getting up, falls down alot - especially if he gets on our slippery hard wood floors, and difficulty getting up stairs. But he still is a happy and sweet boy. We will miss him so much while he is at UT for the week having his surgery. After that he will come home and need to be in a small room (probably our laundry room) for two weeks with limited walks outside on a leash. Then he'll go back to Knoxville for two weeks of rehabilitation. He is 11 1/2 and we are optimistic that this will help give him a few more years of high quality of life! We'll keep you posted.
