We have had some very sad news this week. Erin's best little buddy from preschool Madelyn was diagnosed with leukemia on Monday night. She and Erin have been friends since they were in Mother's Day Out last year. I took this picture just about a week before her diagnosis on the playground at school. It is so bittersweet because no one could have predicted what was coming. If you look back through my blog you'll see other photos of these two friends together.
Madelyn is already in the hospital at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital and will be there for a month or so. After that she will continue to have outpatient intensive chemo for 6 months, and then for two years continue with maintenance chemo. What a long tough road for such a sweet little girl. Please pray for her, her little brother Hudson and their parents.
