Disney - Day Four!

On Saturday, we celebrated probably the biggest day so far! We were heading to the Bibbidi Bop Boutique so the girls could be coiffed and dressed as princesses! Before our appointment we stopped off at the dress shop next door to check out the selection so the girls could choose which princess they wanted to dress as. And as we came out, who did we bump into but the Fairy Godmother herself! The girls were beside themselves - we had never seen her before. It was almost too good to be true!

After that fun encounter we still had some time to kill, so we headed over to Ariel's Grotto to meet the mermaid in person. Erin had alot of fun playing in the water fountains while we waited our turn . . .

. . . but Mary Clare wasn't too sure she wanted to get all wet!

Here they are waiting their turn - "we are next!"

Erin could hardly wait another minute!

Afterwards, Erin took a turn at pulling out King Arthur's sword.

And then . . . it was our turn at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique! Here are the girls as one of the Fairy Godmothers-in-Training pulling back the curtain on their dresses. Erin decided to dress as Tinkerbell, and Mary Clare was Cinderella!

Look at those dresses!!! And shoes!!! and Wands!! and Crowns!!!

Here is Roger posing with the girls in their new outfits before they got their hair and make-up done -- fittingly, they are standing in front of the cash register!

Erin wasn't totally sure she was ready for the full makeover session!

But Mary Clare loved every minute of it!!!

Here is Mary Clare admiring the final product --

And Erin with her first bun!

Here they are admiring themselves in the mirror. Pretty girls!

After the boutique, Erin was pretty tired and needed to recharge her batteries. Here she is snuggling with Roger while we waited to have lunch at Cinderella's Table INSIDE THE CASTLE!!

When we arrived, the girls got to take a picture with Cinderella herself - it WAS her castle afterall!

Next we walked up the winding, very-castle like, red carpet lined staircase . . . Mary Clare absolutely loved it.

Erin keeps telling people about ALL THOSE STEPS!

When we got to the top of the stairs, this was the view - it really did look like a castle!

And then, if you can believe it, MORE PRINCESSES! Here they are posing with Belle . . .

and Jasmine . . .

and Snow White . . .

. . . and Princess Aurora (Sleeping Beauty)

At the end of the meal, all the girls were given magic wands and the lights were turned down so they could make their Magic Wish -- here is Erin getting ready --

and Mary Clare waving her wand to make her wish. I think her wish is that we could do this every day!

As we left the castle, a parade was beginning -- the theme was "Dance Party". Here is Roger trying to get the girls come dance with him. He had no takers. Poor guy!

After all that excitement the girls were ready to head back to the room. They are always excited to see what the "Room Fairies" have done to our room - especially the animals they make out of the towels. This was a swan.

Despite all the money and time spent on Erin's updo, she wanted it OUT pretty soon -- so I gave her a bath and we had a nice rest. Here she is with her two new acquisitions from the trip - a Tinkerbell doll and a monkey she named Bananas.

While Roger and I chatted in the living room of our suite, the girls pretended to sneak in from the bedroom to steal some snacks from the kitchen. They giggled hilariously. Later that night at dinner, we talked about our favorite part of the trip and the girls said it was stealing the crackers! Well, we could have done that at home!!

Speaking of dinner, that night we walked over to Epcot and visited Mexico for our meal. The San Angel Inn is in a replica of a Mexican hacienda at night. It was really beautiful, but I don't think the girls totally appreciated it. Their favorite part was talking Daddy into buying them each maracas in the authentic Mexican tourist trap gift shop outside the hacienda!
