Disney World - Day Two

On Thursday morning, we got up early and headed straight to the Magic Kingdom! We started out the day with lots of fun . . . first things first . . the girls wanted to ride Cinderella's Golden Carousel.

Next stop -- the Dumbo ride! Well, actually they didn't want to ride it - but were happy to pose for pictures with this stationary, earth-bound Dumbo.

Afterwards, we headed to Toontown for some facepainting! We have a very similar picture of Mary Clare getting her face painted on our last visit -- some things never change!

Here is Erin getting her turn . . .

and the finished product!

This was so sweet - Mary Clare is showing Erin what she looks like in a mirror - "You look like a real princess, Erin!"

After the facepainting, Erin was willing to try the Teacup ride with me - but Mary Clare could not be convinced. I snapped this picture of Erin just as the cups started to move - fun!
Next stop -- some Princess Mickey Ears!

Mary Clare did want to try "Its a Small World" -- here she is with Roger heading down to get on the little boats.

They loved all the puppets and the boat ride.

Here is Erin with her shades being silly! Our friends the Dentons had coincidentally planned a trip to Disney at the same exact time as our vacation. It worked out great and we coordinated some meals with them. We were headed to meet them for lunch when . . . .

We took a detour to meet Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen - the newest Disney stars from the movie the Princess and the Frog - what fun!!

Our next stop was lunch at the Crystal Palace restaurant with the Dentons. It was lots of fun - the kids loved meeting Eeyore . . .

and Piglet . . .

and Tigger . . .

and Pooh!
After lunch we headed back to the hotel for a rest. Roger needed to take some phone calls so I took the girls to explore our amazing pool! There was a sand-bottomed pool with a beach that Erin loved - especially building sand castles! It also had a lazy river, ship wreck and - Mary Clare's favorite part - a snack bar! That night we ate dinner at the hotel before turning in early to get ready for another fun day!
