Miscellaneous

In June, Mary Clare participated in a summer camp at BGA which included a Library/Theater camp. Here she is with a sun visor that she made with some of her friends.

And last week, my cousin Tom's wife Jennifer (in pink) came to Franklin so that their daughter Gabby (in blue/white) could play in a basketball tournament. On Tuesday night Katie came down from Ft. Campbell so we could all have dinner together. It was a lot of fun - and Mary Clare and Erin really started to enjoy watching the basketball games. Go Lions!

My Nikko Blue hydrangeas were spectacular this summer!

Earlier in June we took the girls to a children's concert at Harlinsdale - a new park in Franklin. They had a great time and Erin surprised us all by running up to participate in lots of the activities. Here she is competing in a game to try to roll an Oreo cookie off of her forehead into her mouth without using her hands! (She is in the brown shirt and pink/brown skirt.)

Lots of summer fun going on here -- here are the girls in the back of Roger's convertible heading to Chloe's sixth birthday party at her pool!

And Erin's first attempt at playing jacks one night in the driveway.
Earlier in June the girls both participated in art camps at the Cheekwood Botanical garden in Nashville. This is our second year doing it and they loved it. While we were there a Dale Chihuly exhibit of his amazing glass work was on display throughout the gardens -- gorgeous!

Here is Erin making her own masterpiece during class one day.

A nice shot of Dylan enjoying the garden one evening.

The girls enjoyed "Summer Fun" days at their preschool. Mary Clare especially enjoyed being an "alumni"! Here she is with her group after meetin g the K-9 Officer with the police dept.

One afternoon while we waited for Angie to arrive to babysit, Mary Clare decorated the hallway to celebrate "the best babysitter in the whole wide world!" See the decorations on the wall, and all the wrapped gifts? She turned pencils, hair barretts and other odds and ends into "gifts".

and here they are after turning Erin's bed into a school bus one morning.

The garden continues to grow well, including my first garlic harvest!
