Mary Clare is now an official first grader -- no more kindergarten! no more naps! a real big-kid backpack! She is off and running - she had her first spelling quiz last week, and I couldn't believe some of the words -- can't, friend, August (!). Waaahh??? This is going to be a big year for all of us.
Giggling with Mikayla before the assembly began.
Her buddy John will be at BGA this year in kindergarten. They had fun on Registration Day.
Her teacher this year is Miss Holman (on the far right) and her assistant this year is Miss Johnson (who was her kindergarten assistant from last year). She is already having a great year -- after her first week!
One more thing -- both girls recently had their physicals. Erin is 3 ft, 5 1/4 inches tall (75th percentile) and 36 lbs (50th precentile). Mary Clare is 3 ft, 11 1/4 inches tall (75 - 90th percentile) and weighs 45 lbs (50th percentile). They are growing so fast!
