It finally feels like spring in Tennessee - and its not the crocuses blooming, or the daffodils pushing out of the ground -- it was the sound of tornado sirens wailing last night and trees crashing to the ground in our neighborhood. Here are some pictures from our local newspapers.
Here's an article from the Williamson Herald --
Damage reports continue to emerge from overnight storms
More reports of downed trees and power lines from last night's storm are continuing to emerge from across the county, but no injuries have been reported, officials said.
Trees believed to be hundreds of years old were felled in the downtown Franklin area, with reports from Main Street, Fair Street and Boyd Mill Avenue.
On Main Street, Franklin firefighters helped rescue a man, who was not injured, after a large pine tree fell on his apartment at 725 W. Main Street. The tree pierced the roof of his unit and came through the bathroom window, reportedly trapping the man, Franklin Fire officials said.
A tree fell in a yard on Fair Street, crushing a car parked in the driveway. Along Boyd Mill Avenue, tall trees were toppled in a yard, but missed structures.
