Well, the final countdown has begun -- two weeks from tomorrow is our official due date. Last weekend, my dad & stepmother came for a short visit -- Mary Clare really enjoyed all the extra attention and has perfected her "Itsy Bitsy Spider" rendition. They came to her My Gym class and enjoyed a tea party outside.
Later in the weekend our friends invited us to their country club for a Memorial Day party. It was a lot of fun and Mary Clare enjoyed watching her friend Chloe ride some ponies -- although she seemed most interested in the buffet!
After her nap she ate some watermelon on the porch in her cowboy hat . . . and had fun smelling the flowers in our window boxes.
This weekend, Roger had to be superdad. I came down with a bad stomach flu yesterday and have been pretty useless the rest of the weekend.
Today the two of them went downtown for an ice cream cone and (of course) a stop at the toy store. Mary Clare came home very excited to show me her new baby stroller!
