What a week!

I know it's been a while since we updated our site, but I have several good excuses. Over last weekend Erin started vomiting after she nursed and on Tuesday she was tentatively diagnosed with reflux. :-( Poor little thing. She's on Zantac and we're hoping that it gives her some relief. Also she is sleeping in her bouncy seat because she is so uncomfortable laying flat on her back that she can't sleep -- which means that Mommy can't sleep. Other than that she is a sweet darling little girl and Mary Clare adores her (mostly). Mary Clare loves to hold her little hands and kiss her on the head. She has also started nursing Elmo.

Warning -- Too Much Information Ahead - skip to the next paragraph if you are queasy! Well, on Wednesday morning I woke up with horrible cramps and bleeding, and then passed out briefly. After a trip to the ER we found that I have retained blood clots in my uterus. I have been prescribed some medication and it should resolve itself soon.

Yesterday (Thursday) I went to my primary care doc because I've had a sore throat that I couldn't shake ever since I left the hospital. Well, it turns out I have "tracheal bronchitis" -- I didn't know there was such a thing! I'm on antibiotics now and hope to feel better in a few days.

Other than that, we're doing great! My mom left this morning so today was my first day flying "solo" -- although Oksana was here to clean the house so it didn't really count. In fact, Mary Clare was SO happy to see her than she ran up to her shouting "Hi, hi, hi, hi, hi!" And then asked her for a hug. Do you think she misses being the center of attention?
