Four Weeks Old!

We've had a busy few weeks since my last post. Last weekend, my sister Cara, her family and their au pair from Sweden came for a visit and to meet Erin. Mary Clare enjoyed playing with her cousins Joseph and Katie but I think she was a little concerned that *they* might be staying as well! Here's a photo of everyone taking a bath together in our new bathroom.

Mary Clare has been continuing to handle all the changes pretty well for an almost two year old. She has her occasional meltdowns -- she will often tell me to put the baby down or give her to Roger, but at the same time when the baby is crying she will come running to tell me and insists on "Baby Up!" (Mommy should pick up the baby). It has been fun watching her imitate me with Erin (she has mastered my breast pump but uses it to pump her belly button - I'm afraid she's going to turn it into an "outie"!).

Erin turned four weeks old yesterday -- it's hard to believe! Her reflux seems to be slightly worse- she actually went 4 days without getting sick, but then vomited twice in the last 24 hours. She still is only sleeping in 2-3 hour stretches at night, so I am pretty exhausted. We are switching her to a new medicine today (Prilosec), so hopefully that will help. Despite what must make her feel pretty miserable, she is a sweet litte girl.

Tomorrow Papa Joe and Grammy (Tina's dad and step-mother) arrive for a visit with Erin and Mary Clare's 2nd birthday party on Saturday. I'm sure we'll have more photos to post from that soon.
