Happy Me! Mary Clare turned 2 two weeks ago. I don't have photos to post (yet) because I was so busy throwing her party that I forgot to take any pictures. She had a really great time and seemed to understand the concept completely. All morning before her party she walked around saying, "Happy Me!" The theme was Lady Bugs and we had cookies, hats, cups, etc to coordinate. Her cake was a strawbery and vanilla ice cream cake but she wouldn't blow out the candles - her friend Chloe had to do the honors. She is really starting to talk well now (when she wants to) and it is alot of fun to hear what goes on in her little head.

Our Little Princess. It seems as though suddenly she is fascinated by princesses -- we went to see Cinderella and the Little Mermaid in the past few weeks and they certainly made an impression. All she talks about is "girl with blue eyes" -- Cinderella. You have to go through the whole discussion each time: "Blue Eyes, Blue Dress, Blue shoes" -- and then she nods appreciatively - glad to know you understand the significance of these facts.
Sisters! Mary Clare and Erin are starting to have a little relationships and it's so sweet to watch. Erin is really smiling now and clearly her favorite person in the whole world is Mary Clare. Here they are holding hands. Mary Clare is always very proud to point out "Nose, Hair,
Eyes, Mouth, Toes", etc -- we've been very lucky that there have only been a few incidents of jealousy -- mostly Mary Clare has been great and when she is having a hard time with things her frustration is directed at Mommy! Here's another photo of Mary Clare after eating a blue lollipop pushing the swing.

Little Erin Erin will be 7 weeks old tomorrow (I can't believe it!). Last Friday she weighed 12 1/2 pounds and is probably close to 13 now. She is a little sweetie even though we know she's not feeling well. She is now on Prevacid and another medicine (I can't remember the name now) for her reflux. The reflux seems somewhat better, but the sleeping is NOT! We're beginning to think that she has some type of colic in the evenings -- she's usually fine during the day but has a several hour period in the evening where she just shrieks and cries and then only sleeps in 2-3 hour increments; she is often up for an hour in between as well. It is miserable for everyone and we hope that it passes in a few weeks (as colic typically does). She has been sleeping in her bouncy seat the past few nights and that does seem to help alot. In addition to all this she caught a cold from Mary Clare last week and has a horrible cough and is very congested. That certainly isn't helping things -- in fact yesterday she was tested for Whooping Cough! We are praying she doesn't have it and should have the results in a few days.
