An unusual day

Well, we had an out of the ordinary day around here! A few days ago a photographer came to the door asking to take some photos of my garden. He was scouting for a location for a photo shoot and thought the art director would like our house and garden. He took this adorable picture of Erin while he checked out my garden.

Well, yesterday he called back and said the publisher (the Baptist publishing company Broadman Holman) loved it and wondered if they could shoot today. I was surprised but very flattered. Well, it turns out the photos are to be used to market a new book coming out and the photo they need is of a young girl dressed like a fairy in a garden. If they had only known we had two little models in the house (complete with plenty of fairy paraphernalia) they could have saved themselves alot of trouble!
Mary Clare and Erin had fun helping them set the light levels for the cameras before the model arrived - a 3 year old little girl who they both loved.
Erin saw everyone with cameras and ran to get her own (while wearing her own wings of course!)
Here's a photo of part of the photo shoot - the model is in purple -- you can see Mary Clare behind some of the staff in her Tinkerbell wings -- she was actually a big help in showing the younger girl where to stand. In fact, they want her to do the pictures for a magazine next month!

I guess it was bound to happen - but in the past 2 days (since we knew abou the photo shoot) we've had 2 inches of rain! The garden was a bit bedraggled but I'm sure it will look fine in the pictures.
