Career Day

This past week was a very busy one! On Tuesday, my mom arrived for her annual Halloween visit. Tuesday was Mary Clare's Career Day at school. She surprised us all by deciding to be a doctor (not a princess) when she grows up. Here she is all dressed up -- she's holding the "Mystery Bag". Every day a different child is asked to take the bag home and fill it up with 16 items that all begin with three letters from the alphabet -- this week was D,E and F. Mary Clare had fun finding forks, flags, dinosaurs, Easter Eggs, etc.

On Wednesday, Erin's class held their Halloween party. The children were supposed to come in costumes, but Erin remained consistent and refused -- although she did wear a Halloween dress. Here she is after she found her "big pumpkin" (as she called it) on the school playground. Later, the kids had a party -- here she is with most of her classmates. She is really enjoying school and her language skills are just blossoming this year.

On Thursday, I held my senior citizen program at church. We had a woman come tell ghost stories from Franklin and everyone loved it.
