I'm trying to get caught up on our activities before the big holiday rush! Last week, Mary Clare's school enjoyed watching the Veterans Day parade downtown. I am not sure how much she understand about what a veteran is or why it is important to celebrate them, but she enjoyed a parade for the first time in her life! Erin really enjoyed watching the marching bands and school children line up in front of our house. After she saw the drummers she ran inside and brought out her own little toy drum.
This is why it is SO great to be four years old -- even though its 42 degrees and rainy outside, it's still the perfect time for a popsicle! Here is Mary Clare and John enjoying their treat at our house one day after school. She misses her buddy now that they are in different classes so we try to make sure they get together for after school playdates at least once a week.
