Happy Birthday Aunt Barbara!!

At the end of February we took the girls on a super secret trip -- to surprise Roger's sister Barbara for her birthday.  Uncle Tim rented a gorgeous house on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina for the long weekend.  His parents were there, and Amy and Joe were coming in a few days - but she didn't know that we were coming, too!  We took the girls out of school for a few days and flew to Charleston; then we rented a car and drove down to HHI.

One morning we went to the beach and Erin was thinking about missing school - she wrote her teacher's name, "Ms. Kay", in sand and had me e-mail the picture to her.

Even though it was a little chilly, the girls really loved the sand and water -- here's a sweet picture of Mary Clare with Barbara and Tim's dog Sparky and Erin is jumping in the waves in the background.

We even saw some dolphins on our boat ride!

This is Barbara and Tim (with Sparky) and Tim's parents - who the girls call Grandpa Bill and Grandpa Mae.  They are the sweetest people and we all adore them.

Erin enjoyed showing Amy how well she has learned to read this year!

For dinner one night we went our to dinner - Erin had fun fooling around with Amy and Joe, and Mary Clare enjoyed taking pictures using an app on my phone.

Here they are heading home at the airport -- they had all their electronics fired up!
