"DeeDa say What?"

Mary Clare's talking has just taken off and sometimes I feel like I'm speaking to a 5 year old. She constantly amazes me with what she understands -- when Roger and I are speaking in front of her and she doesn't understand the conversation she'll say, "DeeDa [or Mommy] say What?"

She is really enjoying school and lately when I pick her up I have a very hard time getting her to leave. Today, for the first time that I can recall, Yellow (her blanket) didn't make any appearance at school. Usually she doesn't want Yellow when she goes to school but sometime during the day takes it out of her diaper bag. This afternoon, Yellow was still all folded up in her bag when I picked her up. Toilet training is going nowhere however -- I think she sees Erin getting her diaper changed and still thinks of that as some attention that she's not ready to give up.

This afternoon while Erin napped, she and I had a very sweet time -- she wanted to comb my hair. We spent about 1/2 hour laying on our bed while she combed my hair and told me I had "crazy hair" . Good memories!

No pictures today -- I'll try and get some tomorrow.
