Renovation update

I haven't posted many renovation pictures lately because they just don't capture what's going on. I'll try to take some in the next few days. Basically, all the rough plumbing is done, the electrical is done, the framing is done, and all those inspections have been passed. Yesterday the whole house was finally properly insulated -- we had cellulose blown into the closed walls/attic/crawlspace and the "pink stuff" put up in the open walls. In order to blow in the cellulose they had to drill holes in the crown moulding and base boards so it looks like the house has been attacked by a giant termite! The fireplaces are close to done. After we pass the insulation inspection (hopefully tomorow) the drywallers can start. The painters have started on the upstairs rooms. The tile guys should start tiling our new bathroom this week, too. Then the floors will be refinished throughout the entire house . . . . and then the cabinets can be installed. and then we have to clean every square inch of the place!! All this and right now they're saying we'll be back in 3 weeks. I'll believe it when I see it!
Meanwhile, the girls still enjoy the apartment. Here is Mary Clare taking a "bath" in the sink.

And the girls helping me dye Easter eggs for my senior citizen program at Church last week.

Yea.
If you're back in 3 weeks, I'll cook you dinner for a week. Did I say that? Who said that?
