Field trip to Gentry's Farm

Erin had a big week last week -- on Thursday her class went to Gentry's Farm. It was my first field trip since traditionally Roger has gone on this trip, but at the last minute the date was changed and he had a trip to Utah that couldn't be moved. His loss was my gain, because I had a great time!
We had gorgeous weather and it was the perfect way to enjoy this beautiful place. The Gentry family is so generous to share their farm with the public.

The kids enjoyed looking at all the different animals, riding on the wagons, playing with the different grains, feeding corn to the cows, and playing with all the different toys and activities in the big barn.

Here is Erin with her friend Dylan scooping grain.
And in a hay tunnel in one of the barns.

The Gentry's even time the birth of the calves to coincide with the pumpkin harvest -- here are a few babies running for their corn!
