Graduation time for Erin!

On May 13th, Erin graduated from Pre-K -- it was such a bittersweet day. I was so proud of what a smart, spunky and fun little girl she is turning out to be, but also know how much she will grow up next year and kindergarten! I am going to miss my little buddy -- we have spent so much time together the past two years while Mary Clare was off in school.

Here are the girls with Mrs. Pam -- she was both Mary Clare and Erin's pre-K teacher.

And this is Erin with Samuel - a boy that she claims is her "boy friend" -- I'm not sure Samuel knows it though!!

Update from October (!) -- I am cleaning out some files and found Erin's school notebook from last year -- as I write this she is doing great in Kindergarten - Here are some funny quotes from pre-K

"This is how I look in September. I am 42 inches tall, and I weight 40 pounds. I can't wait to see my Papa Joe and Grammy. I want to learn how to run and leap."
"This is how I look in October. I like when the leaves start to turn different colors and Halloween is here! I am going to be a Mermaid for Halloween."
"If the Great Pumpkin granted me three sieshs, I would wish . . . 1. A piggy bank with money in it. 2. A rocking horse. 3. A zhu zhu pet." (Note to the reader - she actually *had* all those things at the time of writing that!)
What is Scary? "If a ghost was under my bed. A bat in your room, hitting the wall. A goblin under a bed, reading a book. One time a spider got on my room ceiling!"
"In November, I am thankful for my Mom, Bo and Daddy."
"I am 4 feet tall. I weigh 8 lbs. My hand is bigger than my sister's eye. When I stand up straight I can reach the window. If I stand on my tiptoes I can reach flowers hanging from the ceiling. If I squeeze up real tight I can fit under a chair. I am heavier than a Pillow Pet. I ma lighter than the play kitchen. I am smaller than my sister. I have more angles than the wall. My smile is bigger than a teddy bear. My sneeze is louder than my sister's sneeze!"
"When I get older I hope to be an animal doctor. I will relax by sitting on my porch. I would like to travel and visit the beach in North Carolina. To be able to accomplish these things I'll need to do this: learn how to take care of pets like feeding and watering them."
"In January for the New Year I want to learn how to spell words."
"In February I love my family. I love them because they are nice and give me presents."
In March, if I were a leprechaun I would hide my gold in a bush."
In April I went on spring break. My family and I went swimming outside at a beach!'
