I'm not sure how or why I failed to mention this before, but we just completed what we always said would be our last major renovation on the house. After finishing the basement, gutting two bathrooms and adding a third, adding closets to all the bedrooms, major structural work, a new roof, rebuilding the front porch thanks to Hurricane Katrina, blowing insulation into the walls, storm windows on all the windows, new plumbing and electrical and a new kitchen -- we always held the screened porch out as our reward for all that hard work. Well, we hired a company that specializes in porches and decks - and they were great! They made it so easy and it went very quickly.
We love it!!
