Mini-Martha

It turns out that Mary Clare is a mini-Martha Stewart. She just LOVES her arts and crafts (she also loves to clean!). I've set up a small arts & crafts station in the basement with paper, paint, crayons, play doh, stickers and all the possible things that a little girl would love.

Here we are doing play-doh one day last week while Erin looks on from the Jumperoo.

My twin sister Eva sent the girls personalized aprons for Christmas. They arrived today and I decided to give Mary Clare hers so we could use them right away! Here she is wearing her apron while she paints her latest masterpiece.

Immediately after I took this picture, Mary Clare fell off of the chair and cut her lip on the floor. Poor sweetie pie! It makes me think Santa might be bringing her a child-size table and chairs for her art projects.

In order to cheer her up I brought out a "Sit and Spin" that I bought her at a consignment shop this week -- I had planned to save it for Christmas, but she need a pick-me-up! She loved it as you can see --

Erin is doing great -- she's basically on a predictable schedule now and is sleeping well, generally waking up only once a night.

My mom left this morning. Mary Clare really enjoyed the time with Grandma, and it was nice for me to have some help so I could run errands and get to the dentist!
