"Yay, Baby!"

Today, Erin had her 6 month appointment. She is developing well and her growth has finally slowed down. She is in the 95th percentile for weight (19 lb, 4 oz) and 75th for height (26 1/2 inches). One of the milestones that she had not yet reached is rolling over -- which is partly due to all the time she spent sitting up when she was younger (because of her reflux) and also a result of being in her carseat so much keeping up with Mary Clare's schedule). Well, she decided today was the day -- just as the doctor was examining her, she flipped over! Mary Clare shouted out, "Yay, Baby!" Here is a picture I took a few minutes earlier - you can see she is admiring her profile in the mirror.

After the doctor's appointment I took them to the park. It was a beautiful and unseasonably warm day (in the low 70s!). We had a picnic lunch and played with friends until nap time. Getting the girls loaded in the car was a bit of a production - I had to unload one stroller to make room for another, get the picnic supplies put away, two carseats, etc. As we pulled out of the parking lot, Mary Clare said, "Good Job, Mommy!" from the back seat. That made the effort all worthwhile. She is coming up with some really cute sayings lately. Last night, I said to her, "Let's go upstairs, Sweetie Pie." And she said, "Okay, Mommy Pie."
