On Friday night, Roger's neice Amy and her friend Joe arrived for a visit (and to see the Vanderbilt-LSU game on Saturday night). Amy's dog Sydney came along too and she and Dylan had a great time playing. Saturday morning we all had fun exploring downtown Franklin - breakfast at Puckett's, the stationary store, furniture shopping and (of course) a trip to the toy store. That afternoon we drove into Nashville to tour Roger's new office building and had lunch. Mary Clare was in rare form -- making friends with the staff and managing to throw an entire school of goldfish on the floor. Afterwards, Amy and Joe headed to the game and we headed home to enjoy a fire and movie. Mary Clare enjoyed her book on the way home. This morning Amy and Joe headed back to Atlanta and we went to church. Later, while Mary Clare napped, I managed to get several hours of gardening in -- it had been over a year since I exercised my green thumb and it felt great, although I have a very sore back now!
When Mary Clare woke up from her marathon afternoon nap (3+ hours), she was ready to roll. Unfortunately, the Braves game was going on, and on, and on . . . Here she is applauding to get Daddy to come outside and play. She got her wish!
