Fall, Football and Fundraisers

Fall has definitely arrived in Tennessee - it didn't get out of the 60s today, and it was great! Not too much to report. I would post a photo of the progress on the porch, except there wasn't any! A light drizzle kept away the workers, although several large pallets of lumber and supplies were delivered. This afternoon, what appeared to be the entire Franklin High School drove by the house as part of a pep rally for a big game that their football team plays tonight. It literally took them 30 minute to pass the house -- I think every student in the school with a driver's license had their car in the convoy! Later, Mary Clare and I visited her friend Emily who just came back from a trip to California (with her parents, of course).

She had fun, but we had to rush home because tonight Roger and I attended a political fundraiser for our alderman, Dan Klatt, who is running for re-election. We kept Mary Clare up a little past her bedtime for the big event. Here are some photos of her with Daddy (as we walked over to the party), and with the Alderman. I wanted to get a photo of her getting kissed by her first politician -- but she wouldn't cooperate, so we got a "high five" photo instead.
