Fun with Friends

This morning Mary Clare had a play date and lunch with her friend Kate. They really enjoyed their pasta. Kate's mom played the fiddle for the girls and Mary Clare was a big fan. She clapped and danced, and even used her "more" sign! We may have a little musician in the making.




After her nap, we headed over to meet the new little sister of Mary Clare's friend Will. Here she is in the car with "traveling dog" -- her road trip companion. She had fun playing with her friends and also enjoyed a chocolate chip cookie.

Work is continuing on the porch project. The brick column is gone as are most of the rafters, the ceiling, and the railings. I think this is going to be a case of things looking worse before they look better. We just hope it's in good shape for our Halloween party.
