Today is Tuesday, and usually that means Kindermusik (which Mary Clare loves). Unfortunately, the teacher is sick so class was cancelled. I don't know who was more disappointed - Mary Clare or Mommy. We've found that it really helps to have at least one activity every day to look forward to. The cancellation of Kindermusik meant that we could attend story time at the Borders bookstore in Brentwood. Joel Reese (aka "The Singing Cowboy") was the headliner today. Here's a photo of all the kids pretending to be on a boat. Mary Clare is in the front on the right. Immediately after this photo was taken, the little boy in the red shirt pushed her down the steps. Mary Clare retreated to the toddler book aisle and made a few selections with the help of her friend Luke who joined us for story time.
After the Singing Cowboy show, Luke and Mary Clare (along with their personal attendants) had lunch at the Mercantile in downtown Franklin.

Mary Clare spent the rest of the day being a little fussy -- she's teething (her eye teeth and a few others are coming in simultaneously), plus I think she's going through a growth spurt. We tried to stay busy by taking Dylan for a walk and playing outside and inside. She is really starting to enjoy pointing to things in her books and saying, "What's that?" -- although it sounds more like "waddat". I think she is quizzing me sometimes! She's not sure Mommy knows whether the animal really IS a cat. Plus, she has developed an obsession with her tooth brush. She brushed her little teeth the whole time we were on our walk - one of the neighbors even commented on it! At least they'll ble clean!
Oh, and by the way, the dumpster was delivered late yesterday evening. Finally!
