Last Sunday, Roger arrived home from his boondoggle (er, law firm retreat) to much fan fair. Mary Clare was delighted! She got all dressed up in her striped tights and Ariel pajamas to await his return. You can see her admiring herself in the mirror. When she saw his car pull up, she started calling, "Daddy's home, Daddy's home!!!" Which surprised us because until then she had been calling him "DeeDa". Well, later that day she snuggled up to him and told him that she wanted to call him Daddy - not DeeDa. I honestly think Roger and I are having a harder time making the switch! 
Before he returned home it got warm enough that Mary Clare wanted to play with the hose. Here is Erin in her bathing suit enjoying the baby pool. 
And having some corn and snacks at the picnic table. She is eating mostly "real food" lately -- I can hardly convince her to eat baby food now -she wants to do it all herself.On Tuesday we met up with Mary Clare's school friends Chloe and John to make some gifts for their teachers. Afterwards we went shoe shopping. Here is Mary Clare using the foot measuring thing to fit Erin's foot. I think she was thinking -- uh oh, Mommy, Erin's going to have big feet like you!!
