Yesterday, while Erin napped Mary Clare and I played outside enjoying what will have been our last warm day for a while. We filled up the kiddie pool and Mary Clare rolled up her pants to play. You can see our azaleas are doing great this year!
And here she is petting our cat Lou.
This morning, Mary Clare's school held an Easter Egg hunt. Here is one of what I'm sure will be many pictures of her with her Easter basket.
This is a baby chick that she made at school using her hands for the wings.
Oh, and the garden is booming. In fact, I guess my mostly organic approach to the garden is paying off in that our wildlife is doing well. We've seen this little snake several times. I told Mary Clare it was a "baby" and now she always wants to try to find its mommy. It is supposed to get very cold this weekend -- down to the 20s at night, so I hope the snake hasn't come out of hiding too soon. I've found it sunning itself on our rock well several times, so hopefully it will continue to find some warm nooks and crannies.
